David Ian Gold - Senior Floor Manager
I have worked in television since leaving school and as a floor manager for over 20 years. Before becoming freelance in May 2000, I was employed by the BBC.
I have worked on a variety of live and pre- recorded programmes, both studio based and outside broadcasts. My expertise includes co-ordinating all studio and on site activities, guest and audience management, security liaison, risk assessment and production planning.
I have been involved in the launch and subsequent transmission of new channels and programmes for both satellite and terrestrial television, where, in addition to floor managing, I have trained the floor managers and assistants. I trade under the name, On Air Production Services, through which I also sub contract production staff.
I enjoy working on both live and pre-recorded programmes and events and work well under pressure. I am qualified in first aid and as a fire warden. I have been trained in health and safety and have CRB clearance.
